Popular Seguin Real Estate – Seguin Homes For Sale:Lake Placid Real Estate:Lake Placid is a 5 mile dammed section of the Guadalupe River located just on the outskirts of the Seguin city limits. This lake is one of the largest and most developed lakes in the Seguin area and is poplar for second and permanent homes. Great lake for wakeboarding, waterskiing, jet skiing, pontoon boating, fishing and more. Lake Placid Real Estate has been increasing in value due in my opinion due to its extreme similarity to that of Lake McQueeney and Lake Dunlap. Most Lake Placid home sales range from 300’s- 700’s however the right place can be around 1 million. Lake Seguin Real Estate:Most people don’t know about the hidden jewel of Lake Seguin. Lake Seguin is the smallest of the lakes in Seguin. This lake is popular to fishermen and kayakers however can be used for the same purposes as that of the other lakes (jetskiing, waterskiing, ext). In fact the Seguin paddle trail runs along Lake Seguin. Lake Seguin real estate has been increasing in value lately in my opinion due to public awareness of this lake and its uses. Coming soon there will be a restaurant/bar, live music, and retail center located on Lake Seguin and Meadow Lake. The restaurant/bar will be located in a converted hydro electric dam that separates Lake Seguin and Meadow Lake. Once the restaurant/bar and shopping is up and running, I could see Lake Seguin real estate and Meadow Lake real estate becoming more popular/valuable. Lake Seguin homes typically run under 500K however there are a few houses on that lake that I believe could get up to 750K. Meadow Lake Real Estate:Meadow Lake was my former lake of residence for about 4 years (2007-2011). The size of this lake is in-between the size of Lake Placid and Lake Seguin. This lake is not near as developed as the more well-known lakes (Lake McQueeney, Lake Placid, or Lake Dunlap). The main attraction for me to this lake is the calm water nearly 365 days per year. I am a former competitive wakeboarder that loved the calm water plus the fun atmosphere/social scene (especially the 2 fun families off of Meadowlake Dr). Prior to me living on this lake, most of the sales/residence on the lake were primary residence. Now most of the Meadow Lake homes sold on this lake are sold to second home buyers. Lake McQueeney Real Estate:The most popular and most developed of the GBRA lakes. The main attraction to this lake is the Lake Breeze Ski Lodge. I personally grew up on this lake, living in nearly every neighborhood on the lake. This 6-7 mile long lake has a hopping social scene. Lake McQueeney Real Estate ranges from the 300’s to over 2 million. Guadalupe River Real Estate:All of the lakes mentioned above are actually dammed sections of the Guadalupe River. So technically they are both lakes and rivers. Below Meadow Lake you can purchase purely Guadalupe Riverfront Real Estate. The main attraction to this area of the Guadalupe River is the peaceful setting (not crowded with toobers like the Guadalupe River near New Braunfels) and the price. Homes start in the upper 100’s but most of the homes for sales are 200+. Seguin Farm and Ranch for Sale:Seguin offers several acres (gentleman’s ranch) to 100’s of acres, some with Guadalupe River of Geronimo Creek water frontage.
